Has anyone had troubles with the live program buffer locking up the screen?

I experienced the problem last night and my wife had the same issue this morning when she tried to rewind a segment on the Today show.
The picture ends up freezing and the only way I have found to restore functionality is to change channels.

Kind of defeats the purpose of having that buffer if you can't rewind it.

I have had it happen on occasion, not cronically... but I have had it happen.
