Just got back from 3 weeks vacation today and found out that some of HD channels are out. I live in Chicago, and from what my friend told me and from this thread, apparently there was a very bad storm on Monday in Chicago. (I live in downtown).

My connection: Slimline-5 connected to Zimwell WB616 -> three HR21-200s

From the reading, I'm a bit puzzled on what goes bad (LNB vs Multiswitch). The reading are pretty much the same accross for all HR21-200s (both tuners) that I have. I haven't done any debugging myself i.e. bypassing the WB616 and connect one of the HR21 straight to the satellite. I most probably will do it tomorrow afternoon since I'm really tired from the jetlagtoday. Any ideas esp on why I loose even transponders on 103c.

You are missing the evens on all three sats that use 22kHz...110/119/103. First thing to check are the connections on the input of your WB616. All of those transponders come down one cable from the dish to the switch, so it could be the cable/connectors and not the LNB or switch.

Take a look at your WB616. Since evens are missing at 110, 119 and 103c, check the 18v 22khz tone port on your WB616. That port is for even txp's on those sats. If bypassing the multiswitch works, then I'd say you have a bad port. You might swap the two 22khz cables on the multiswitch to see if the problem changes.

Yeah, I saw some of the game...the picture went scrambled for a couple seconds...then the announcer said wow that was close...and berkman was already cowering in the dugout

I checked everything this morning and it could be two things. 1 bad cable or 1 bad port in the LNB assembly. I'll just call DirecTV since I have Protection Plan to check it out.

Turns out to be a bad port in LNB assembly. Is there a way just to get the LNB Assembly in Chicago area for Slimline-5 ?

Use the PP. The only other alternative is to buy an entire Slimline dish on-line. LNB's as a separate item are rarely found, even on eBay, and if you did find one there, you'd have to ask yourself the question why it was for sale.....
