Newbie here, I have a Dish 1000 and just bought a RCA ANT3901, for local HD, the directions say to connect it between the LNA and the multiswitch, Where is the multiswitch on a 1000? I traced from the 100 to the input of the 622 no multiswitch. Is it part of the 1000?

I have a 622 receiver and a 322.

Thanks, Ken

The RCA ANT3901 is a very poor antenna unless you live very near all your stations and they are all at full power.

The Dish 1000 has the multiswitch built in to the LNB, so you probably can't use the 3901 anyway.

Go to www.antennaweb.org and input your home address and zip code. It will give you a conservative estimate of channels you may expect to receive and recommend the type of antenna for your application (yellow, red, blue,...). It is all explained there.

Gimmicky antennas more often than not do not perform very well. The old standbys have been around a long time because they have worked and still work.

Since the Dish 1000 is not the same shape as other Dish dishes, the 3901 might not even fit on it.
