OK - I have read some of the other discussions but I need some good advice. I live in Michigan on the boarder of Ohio/Toledo. Our local channels are from Detroit which is 50 miles away and we really don't care about Detroit channels. When I had direcTV installed I added an antenna so I can pull in local channels. Now with everyone needing to go digital next year, this might be an issue since a couple of my TV's don't have a digital tuner and I really don't want to add a converter box just to get local channels. Also many of times I wanted to record something with the DVR that is on the local channel and I cannot since I don't receive them from DirecTV.
Now here is my question - When the installer was here he recommended that I change my billing address to Toledo (all of my family lives there) and then I will be able to get Toledo stations from DirecTV. The only hitch is that the Satellite that broadcast the local Toledo Channels is different then the HD dish I have now. He told me all I need to do is to get another dish and add it to the multi-switch and change my address. Was he correct and how do I know which dish I need since I see a bunch of them on Ebay and Craiglists?
