who would I talk to about getting my local channels in HD?I've tried customer service on the phone and they were no help. I asked who do I talk to about getting my local channels(abc,cbs,nbc) in HD?The guy had no idea and told me to call nbc and ask why. I know my local cable company has a few of these in HD. I do have fox in HD but would like to have the super bowl in HD.the only answer I tend to get from directv is "we're working on it" and it's been over 4 years.

DirecTV rarely announces new channels in advance. So I doubt you'll get any satisfactory answers here.

Is OTA reception a possibility for you? My locals are all in excellent HD, but I live just 8 or so miles from a direct LOS from strong signals.

Distant Network Service, where you get either the NY or LA network channel(s). This option requires a waiver from your local network station, which can be a pain.
