Lock up while setting up to record.

I had my unit lock up while setting it to record tonights ESPN college football game. This is the 2nd time it has occurred to me with the first time being 6 weeks or so ago.

When I record College football games, I always add time to the end of the recording. This morning I went into the guide to record the game. I first hit the record button which put the red record symbol in the guide. I meant to hit the select button so I could get into the record screen where I could add an hour to the end of the recording. Instead of going into by to do list to edit the end time, I hit the record button again while still on the game in the guide to cancel the recording. Next I hit the select button to get into the record screen. Once in there, I added the extra hour and then went over to the button that you hit to confirm the recording. Instead of this button having a label of 'record it" , it said 'Update' instead, I hit this button and the screen went to a wait processing message.

I had to go to work so I just left it like that. I came home for lunch 5 hours later and it was still on the same wait screen, The box was completely non responsive to any button pushes on the remote. The only thing I could do was give the unit the one finger salute. After rebooting, I checked the to do list and the game was not in there. I then went into the guide and added it to my to do list with the extra hour using the select button with no problems.

When this same problem happened to me many weeks ago, I cant remember if I went through the same sequence. Since I had to get to work and did not have time to reboot again prior to the recording, I did not try the sequence again.

Bottom line though, if the button on the record screen says 'Update' instead of 'Record it'. DON'T select it as it will lock up your box HARD.
