Locking In A Transponder On A 622 at Sat. 61.5?

538 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  MadMax
Hi, The tech set up my 622 on sat. 61.5 on transponder 2 signal 93. It went out in the rain the other night, when the skies cleared I checked out the other transponders and found #14 at a signal of 110. I left it at 14, when I went back in the dish setup the transponder was at #7. How do I lock in at #14? I have 2 500 dishes. Thanks

Each channel you tune in on your Dish receiver is on a particular transponder and a particular satellite. When you tune in channel 200 (CNN) the receiver looks at a map which says channel 200 is at 119° transponder 19. If you were to do a signal check after tuning to channel 200, you will see the signal strength on tp 19 at 119 show up.

If you tune to channel 9429 (National Geographic HD) the receiver looks at the map that take it to transponder 22 at 61.5° or transponder 30 at 129° depending on what dish configutration you have.

To see what channels are on what transponders take a look at the EKB linked on every page here on DBSTalk

See ya
