Long Cable run

I have a DISH 522. My 2nd tv is 30 feet from the DVR and connected by RCA cables. I am getting horizontal rolling banding on the video and buzzing on the TV audio. DISH tells me that 30 feet is too long for RCA cables and I should use an RG6 cable instead. Is this correct?

No, 30 ft is not too long for RCA (composite) cables. All you need is a higher quality cable. Many vendors sell them but don't go wasting your money on a brand like Monster Cable.

A good place to buy cables is http://www.monoprice.com

Another good place is http://mcmelectronics.com
