LOS or receiver issue?

I'm having an issue with my 722 receiver and I'm not exactly sure if it's the receiver or an issue with LOS or the switch.

Basically what I'm getting is garbled or pixelated recordings and loss of signal. During a recording it'll freeze the image or kind of stutter. Sometimes though if I skip back the signal loss won't be exactly the same and sometimes plays a little better.

It sounds like a signal issue, but the the two tuners act different. Tuner 1 is a lot worse, especially at night it always has issues and lots of times brings up the loss of signal screen. Tuner 2 is usually working fine but rarely has the issue as well.

If I check the signal strength tuner 2 is almost always much better than 1, usually a huge difference, maybe like 30 to 60 depending on the transponder.

So what do you think it is? I'd like to have it fixed but I don't want to bother with getting a tech out there if it's just a receiver swap.
