I just had this problem happen for a second time on my HR22/100. I finished watching a recorded program, and found that my live buffer had reset. It was particularly annoying, since I wanted to rewind and watch what I missed while watching the recording. I say its the second time it happened only because its the second time I noticed it. It may very well have happened before too. Can't say how long its been going on, but suspect its since the last upgrade.

If I'm watching a live show that I may want to return to after watching a recording, I just hit record on the live show.

You shouldn't have to do that though. With a 90 minutes buffer, just hitting pause (or not), watching the recording, and returning to the previous show should work fine.

This is true, but if you don't trust that it will work that way every time, then just hit record to ensure whatever you were watching is retained. I don't do this very often as I'm not watching much "live" anymore.!
