The center button on the front works similar to remote.

Press 'Menu' on the front panel
Select 'My Playlist'
Use the center button on the DVR to select and play you recording.

You will not have access to the basic functions (i.e play, rew, ff, etc.)

If you want to stop a recording, just press 'Menu' and select 'My playlist'.
you can either choose a new recording or back to the one you are watching and select the options from there.

It's not pretty but it does work..

I am not 100% sure on the RC64 remote, I believe it should work if you set-up the DVR to use RF instead of IR..

Stop by your local radio shack and get a 15-134 (or 135) remote, use code 01377, and you'll be good to go. Makes a great universal, but if you don't like it, just return it when your new RC64 arrives.

Yes, the RC64RB RF remote will work. I just bought one, it's the one that the buttons light up on. Works Great!!
