here's the lowdown:

have a 622 dvr since the past yr with tv1 connected to my plasma and tv2 connects to my crt tv in the bedroom.
since last week, i've completely lost the tv2 signal.
I get a blank screen on my tv2, no guide or 'press select' screens.
I called dish tonight and they're sending out a tech but I wanted to see if I can troubleshoot this a little further.

I've tried the following:
1) power cycle the dvr.
2) I tried to toggle the 622 from single mode to dual mode and back
3) I re-checked all the coax connections.
4) i made sure the tv2 remote is set for channel 60

anything else I can try?

any suggestions would be most welcome.
the british open starts tomorrow and it would be awesome to watch it in the confines of my bedroom!

You could change the 622 setting to single-mode, shared view, and see if TV2 the receives any signal.
Also, if it is possible to do, swap your TV's, (connections) making either your Plasma connected to TV2, or your CRT connected as TV1.
It is probably easier to connect your Plasma as TV2, since it is the nearby TV.

My 622 works with the TV2 output being displayed on channel 73 only. You might want to try that.

You might also want to try connecting the TV2 coax to a different input on your second TV, just in case the input connector is bad on your TV.

Good chance the TV got switched to another channel. Somewhere in the sys info or installation menus your 622 will display the channel for TV2. My first 622 came preset to channel 60. The second came preset to channel 73.

Menu #6-#1-#1
Menu >6 >1 >1 is Point Dish.

The OP wants Modulator Setup, which is Menu >6 >1 >5 :)

I now have similar problem on our 622 TV2. Everything working fine the night before (Saturday 7/26), nothing but snow on 73 on Sunday. I checked modulator output, it's still on 73. Checked input selection on the TV itself, it's correct.

Gordita, what was the resolution in your case?

I've checked everything I can think of, even bringing in a little 13" CRT TV and hooking that up instead of the big CRT. Still had nothing but snow on channel 73.

It's not the tuner because I can PIP/SWAP between the tuners in single mode (main TV on TV1) and I can also see TV2 using the RCA jacks on the back of 622 to the little 13" portable. It's just the coax output (Home Distribution) that's gone out. Been working fine for couple of years through many software upgrades.

Last thing I can think of is to find about 50 feet of new coax and string it from the 622 in the living room to the CRT in the back bedroom, on top of the carpet. That's the easiest way I can think of to rule out the existing coax cable. If that doesn't work then I'll be calling Dish and asking for a tech to check it out.

Channel 73 is a CABLE channel - make sure your TV is also set for CABLE when you do your channel scan.
