You'll have to check with the complex, but MOST MDU systems in place today are standard-def only, and require 1 line per tuner.
Many larger MDUs, typically in big-city hi-rise buildings, are being upgraded to support DirecTV HD and SWM technology, but that is very expensive, and quite new, so I would NOT expect smaller MDUs to have or support it.
Keep in mind, though, that every MDU is a unique, custom situation. There is NO WAY for any of us to tell you what yours might have or support, other than general experience. You'll need to find out how to get in touch with the MDU provider directly. Do NOT base anything on what the condo receptionist tells you; most have no understanding of the technology other than "we have DirecTV here!" You need to speak to a person who understands the technology.
