That's right. Me-TV is now on satellite in the NYC DMA on WSAH channel 43. Goodbye to RTV. I just hope it will be full time. The guide is still showing the old programing. This is a real treat.

The only problem with the AM21 is that Directv has stopped updating channel additions for over the air. Luckily my MeTV channel is on the Directv listings over the air.
We have had several channels added lately that I cant get on my over the air signal on Directv (am21).
WITN 7.3 RADAR
WFXI 8.2 BOUNCE
WCTI 12.1 LIVE WELL
WYDO 14.2 BOUNCE
Have been added but unless I switch off Directv I dont get it.

I can't imagine why the AM21 isn't more popular.

People! You do NOT need the OTA tuner to get this channel in the NYC DMA. The channel is now coming from the satellite thanks to WSAH channel 43. Now just guide data that is still currently wrong but I just sent an e-mail to Tribune Media. Maybe this will get fixed real soon. Again, no OTA antenna needed here.

According to this: http://metvnetwork.com/wherewatch.php?marketID=180

It also launched on Dish on channel 43 in the New York area.
I also found out that it launched on both Dish and DirecTV on Channel 23 in the Chicago DMA.
And in Boston, on channel 62.

So there is hope! It means local sub-stations CAN and WILL be added by DirecTV and Dish.

In the Los Angeles area it isn't available on DirecTV.

I had to look this up as I wasn't familiar with "Me TV". Some shows I haven't seen in a LONG time... http://metvnetwork.com/programs.php

I just turned it on and Cannon was on... gosh, but 70's dialog was ... interesting. ;)
Reminds me of what TVLand was at one time. Miss those times too. Wish I could get it. It's being broadcast on my local but it's a sub channel that D* doesn't broadcast.

The reason that DISH and DIRECTV carry these channels( 23,43,62)is because these are main channels not sub-channels . These channels have always been carried as part of the locals package. Ch. 62 (Boston) and 43 (NY/Bridgeport Ct.) used to be RTV affiliates that recently changed to ME-TV.
But because they are not sub-channels , you will be subject to about 6-8 hours of informercials a day pre-empting ME-TV programming. Inquired to Ch. 62 if they were going to change to the 24 hr feed , and the answer was NO!

Ah that makes sense.... it wast just another FULL local channel, rebroadcasting MeTV for most of the day.

Yeah....that explains why it is carried in those cities. Ah well.

Yeah I see this now. Late nights and early mornings are still infomercials. And some of what I was hoping for the most I will not be able to see like Petticoat Junction, My 3 Sons and Love American Style. Hopefully they will flip their schedule from time to time.

MeTV is fantastic! I just wish it was on D* in St. Louis. I have to watch it OTA.
Get a AM-21 OTA tuner from D* . Hook you OTA antenna to it , and it will intergrate you OTA channels into the D* guide. That is if the guide database carries that sub-channel.

MeTV dropped The Streets of San Fransisco already. You remember, the show with the young co-star that looked like Kirk Douglas?

One thing I like about 1970s cop shows and detective shows is that they all hold guns and flashlights like normal people do.

I've fixed your statement for you.

"You don't like the Gangsta sideways handgun hold? Makes the bullets Less accurate"

AKA better for the good guys.
