I had 3 movies in a row running in the background today, and I could clearly pick up on replacement word insertions. Gosh, Darn, Shucks. I don't think I will be tuning in to that channel any longer. I want my movies in their entirety.

I've seen several R rated movies on MGM HD with all the original language. Maybe this movie was overdubbed in post production.

Its possible. The first movie was White Lightning with Burt Reynolds. That movie was loaded with cussing and not a single one 'cept shaky puddin' . Second movie was an old biker movie with Henry Fonda.

Any idea on what time of day it was? I know that after one or two replaced words, my ears perked up and I became very aware. But it was 3-5pm or so.

I noticed months ago that sometimes movies on this channel are censored and sometimes they're not (no one believed me at the time). It seems to be random as to when they are and aren't.

I recently bought Porky's on DVD and finally watched it last night. I had thought the shower scene showed full frontal female nudity, and yes it did, in fact in a very natural way. It was refreshing compared to how nudity is often used simply for effect in today's movies. When I saw this movie on TV recently, both on Fox and Universal HD, they showed breasts but that was all. I will be interested to see Porky's II on DVD. If I remember right, and it's been over 20 years, but I believe at one point they show Pee Wee's pee wee. I saw Porky's II on TV (Fox, I think), and they didn't.

I don't think it's that unusual for there to be different cuts of movies.

MGM is advertised as family safe from 8 to 8. I can't find a source but that is the case. However they are most certainly not censored in the evenings. I watched Last Tango in Paris (I didn't see the big deal) and it was very graphic. Before the movie they advertised MGM's erotic Saturday nights, so I don't think they are going for censorship.

This channel is a waste of HD Bandwidth, most movies are available in bins at Wal Mart for $3.99.

I'll believe it when I see it. Stern has been announcing this movie since he was on terrestrial radio. At least 5 years ago. Unfortunately, he announces this stuff way too early. Has anybody seen Howard Stern, the High School Years? I didn't think so. It ruins what credibility he used to have. I loved Howard and was a faithful listener for over 12 years. Even listened to the first few months of Sirius on bootlegs. Unfortunately, he doesn't quite have the relevance he used to have when more people had access to him.

Back to the topic at hand: Robocop and Porky's both were not edited as far as I can tell. Robocop was as violent as I remember and Porky's was a hilarious as I remember.

Humm. I can pay $5 a month and get MGM HD, along with HDNet Movies, and enjoy classic films like Bound For Glory (on tonight) and Eight Men Out (this weekend)
