Strange in Atlanta GA, get all channels on 99,101,103c,119 but all 4 transponders on 110 are zero...so i'm missing ESPN HD, HBO HD, SHO HD, TNT HD.
Tech says it's a pine tree obstruction in neighbor's yard-anyway to counteract this w/ out cutting it down? The ESPN HD is a killer no other way tp pull from another Sat right?:nono2:

probably the best option is to wait till the HD migration finishes in aug/sept

I had the same problem, turned out the 110 feedhorn on my old side-car dish was shot. Got a new dish installed.

If you do a DVR/receiver menu reset, and go back to the settings....do you get the same numbers?

Could be the LNB or multiswitch....the Zinwell came up as the culprit in a similar situation for another user just this week.

what exactly is the HD migration? I'm new to the form..not familiar...thanks
When the new D11 satellite goes live later this summer, we expect that the several HD channels still beamed from 110 and 119º will move to the new Ka-band satellites at 99 and 103º.

The odds on a tree blocking 110 but not 103 and 119 are pretty slim. Sounds like a component failure to me.

New or not stuff breaks. If you knew how much stuff is bad right out of the box you would be shocked.

If 119 was out also I would tend to believe him but it would have to be a real tall and real skinny tree in the exact right spot to knock out 110 completely. JMO

Hi new here as well, but I had to share. I am having the same issue with the 110. It is was an upgrade install to the new dish (two weeks ago) and the installer got everything in the 90's except for 110 apparently. 110 is in the 40's at best and when the wind blows I get pixel and sounds drops across the board for channels like hbo/sho HD.
If there is a way to bring in the signal without compromising the other sats I would love to know it!
Thanks

Is your new receiver a model HR21-100?

Thanks! Yes, I now have two HR21-100 units. I also have a series 2 Tivo hooked up with the same signal results. Today I am getting low 40's on the 110 on all three (8,10,12) on both tuners, yesterday I was only able to get 40 on the 10.

So were you getting these 110 signals on the HR10-250 before you added the HR21-100's? If you have all three receivers hooked up, you must also have a multi-switch. To remove it as a possible culprit, you can bypass it with a couple of double-female "barrel" adapters and connect the antenna lines from one of your HD-DVR's directly to two of the dish lines. Then re-check the 110 signals.

Is the new dish in the same location as the old one? What about a possible obstruction in the LOS (trees, etc.)? This would be ~10 degrees to the right of the where your new dish appears to point.

No, they had to pole mount it due to trees (though the old one worked fine on the roof). It must be LOS due to trees, though they have not gotten any bigger over the past week! Now I am at 0-30 signal (bouncing)on only one of the three transponders so it is getting worse which is odd.
I will try the direct route once I get a hold of a barrel connector. I will probably have them come back out to re-align since it was fine a week ago.

If the multi-switch checks out, it's got to be either trees or more likely a bad LNB, although they usually just go completely dead all of a sudden. But on the other hand, trees don't usually grow that fast either. :)

Depending on the tree type it may not have to grow to quickly. This time of year just the leaves growing in on a deciduous tree can cause you to loose signal. Try www.dishpointer.com . It might give you an idea of if a tree is potentially blocking your 110. I know I lost my 119 due to leaves on a tree when spring hit.
