I have upgraded to H D with a Direct HR 23-600 receiver and using a new slimline AU9-SL5 dish. Dish is aimed correctly and am receiving all non def channels. However am missing several H D channels. Get Searching 771 signal. (i.e. HBO 500 to 505 no signal 506 07 etc OK) Have tried adding a B Band coupler and reset the rec. Still no luck...Can someone who knows for sure help me. Thanks

Are you sure that this receiver actually requires a B Band converter? My one H23 does not require one. Have you also checked your receiver's internal menu's, that require you to pick which dish that you are using? It will give you the option of what dish LNB setup and run a diagnostic to accept that dish.

HR23 does not need BBCs (and won't work if you connect them!)
Why do you think the dish is aimed correctly? Check your signals on 99c/103ca/103cb, all transponders should be in the high 80s at least. Check BOTH tuners, and post back...

Uh, he's in Canada. That might have something to do with it.
I am close to the Canadian Border and much of Ontario is further south than many of the border states surrounding it. If the OP could give us a general idea of where he is, then we might be able to help him out. It doesn't have to be exact, just give us a 50 mile radius of, and we'll get it running for you.

So locked.

Perhaps the info sought has been presented.

Cheers,
