From the looks of the outage it was the main feed that comes from the C-band satellite to D* or to your cable company. Pixelization on an analog cable channel seems to confirm that, to me. All the master feeds are digital, encrypted with PowerVu or Digicipher encryption.
Maybe all that tire rubber knocked out that signal. I wish that would've happened to me today. That display would've been more interesting in HD than "tiregate." Luckily, nobody got hurt. And I was via Hotpass.
