The Milwaukee Brewers fired manager Ned Yost earlier today.
Bench coach Ted Simmons has been reassigned to an "advisory role",making his long-term status with the franchise unclear.Simmons was considered to be a potential successor for the managerial position,should Yost be fired.
Third base coach Dale Sveum will take over as interim manager for the remainder of the season.
