The DirecTV site has a special "Race to the Pennant" price of $59.00 for the rest of the year, but doesn't indicate if that includes Super Fan or not. Anybody know if it does? Or have an educated guess? Or wholly uninformed speculation?

Unfortunately it doesn't! Superfan is still 50 I believe.

Because my summers are always so busy I always subscribe to the Race to the Pennant last month. And I always have to argue the superfan part the CSR's always stick to the $50.00 and I question why would I pay $50.00 for one month when the whole season is 6 months for the $50.00 about $8.50 a month.
They just do not understand it so I have them switch me to retention and it always gets included in the last month with no issues.;)

I just signed up today and even though it looked like it came with superfan since online it said "Up to 40 HD games a week" and then sign up for 59.99, it doesn't. A few minutes later all the games in SD were showing up but the -1 channels were not working. Called up directv customer service to either cancel the MLB EI or get the superfan.

So I basically did the same thing "Upnorth" did and the rep actually understood what I was saying as they saw that superfan was $50 in march just as it is now. First she tried to just have the system make me only pay one $25 payment. She couldn't get the system to do it though and just ended up giving it to me for free; we'll see on the next bill I guess.

Also, she said that if you signed up for EI this year it will auto-renew itself for next year; so if you don't want it make sure to call in to directv and tell them you don't want MLB EI early next year.

This is where they could leverage that HD extra package..."well sir, the HD superfan package usually costs $50 for the season, but if (since) you subscibe to the HD extra package, well include it at no extra cost for the remainder of this season."
