Is DirecTV going to be offering the week-long preview of MLB Extra Innings post-All Star break? I know when I had cable they did this. Also, has it been confirmed that there will be a half season deal for the package, if so how much? I've read that in the past it's been something like $129. If there is a half-season deal, is there also a deal on Super Fan, or does that cost the same no matter when you order the package?
Thanks guys.
Will Super Fan be free?Satelliteracer said:Free preview is next week after the all-star game. Yes, there will be a half season package price.
I think what they do is artificially raise the price of the half season to account for some superfan monies then include it for "free" and hopefully hook the people for when they buy next season e.g., I can't live without game mix, strike zone or HD games ....n3ntj said:No idea. You'll have to wait and see. I would imagine they'd charge $20 for the half season of Superfan.

$129 for rest of season. Superfan still says $50.
Last year there was about 1/6th the HD feeds as well. Plus the costs for doing StrikeZone channel and providing data via interactivity have gone up considerably this year.Redlinetire said:I wonder why the charge for Superfan this season?
I bought half season last year for $129 and Free Superfan.
I guess they feel the dual feeds are worth charging for?
I could careless about the strikezone channel or the interactivity. I just want to watch the games in HD.Satelliteracer said:Last year there was about 1/6th the HD feeds as well. Plus the costs for doing StrikeZone channel and providing data via interactivity have gone up considerably this year.
So putting Chris Myers in the StrikeZone studio blew out the budget?Satelliteracer said:Last year there was about 1/6th the HD feeds as well. Plus the costs for doing StrikeZone channel and providing data via interactivity have gone up considerably this year.
So, they would just raise the base price to cover the costs. Just look at it as a total price and then decide if it is worth it. Just the difference between itemizing and not itemizing.upnorth said:I could careless about the strikezone channel or the interactivity. I just want to watch the games in HD.
And $50.00 is asking to much for HD that should be included or I could see another $9.99 HD access fee for each sporting package.![]()
i am with you on this ....then when you think there is a good game that should be on you cant find it ...i yi yi yi ......they need to take lesson from the NFL ..upnorth said:I could careless about the strikezone channel or the interactivity. I just want to watch the games in HD.

Most games are on. And they added an autosearch if you tune to a blacked out station, it will find if you can get the game on another station. It will look for HD first then SD. Works very well.reds1963 said:i am with you on this ....then when you think there is a good game that should be on you cant find it ...i yi yi yi ......they need to take lesson from the NFL ..
