My Guess is since TBS is now involved doing the playoffs they will spread it out as much as they can.
At the rate pro sports is going, the future year-round playoff schedules will be:
MLB playoffs and WS end the day before NFL playoffs begin.
Superbowl is played on the Sunday before the NBA playoffs begin.
NCAA tourney will be played during the NBA playoffs on odd numbered days and NBA will play games on even numbered days.
NBA playoffs will end the day before the MLB All-star game.
The Fed Ex Cup will start the week after the MLB All Star game, unless Tiger is healthy, in which case it will be forfeited to him and there will be no golf in August.
NHL playoff games will be played after midnight in Russia and Canada, which are the only two places people care about them. Midnight starts will make certain vodka and Molson chugging tournaments in those countries don't conflict and will help viewers sleep through most of the never-ending NHL playoffs.
Regular season games. which have come to mean nothing, will be played when no one is awake except for people staying up for Viagra and Girls Gone Wild commercials hoping for some titillation - they will get meaningless games instead. Joe Buck and a supporting analyst cast from Fox Sports will announce all regular season games to make certian no one watches (except for the afore-mentioned tittillators!
And finally, People attending MLS games, especially those featuring David Beckham, will be committed to an insane asylum for wasting perfectly good money on an inferior product. It won't matter when MSL games are played.
