Did some room & furniture moving, including moving my newer HR23 box upstairs to bedroom where I had the HR20. Still on single cable no new cables, but it was set for two tuners so I had forgot about that and reset system. Then my son reminded me I only have one SAT cable in the bedroom so I did the dish setup and specified One tuner and it rebooted and I got signal strength fine and about half my channels. All channels are listed in the guide, but about have have no programming information in the time slots. I know this is either the time it takes to rebuild the guide or maybe some setting that is blocking half my channels.

Should I just wait 24 hours or is there something to try?

If the receiver is rebooted twice within 30 minutes it will flush the Guide. It will take about 24 hours for the Guide to fully populate again. Just give it time.

With regard to the comment that you only get half your channels, what happens when you tune to the other channels?

Did you take off the B Band Converter that was on the HR20?
Good call.

The HR23 doesn't need the BBC like the HR20 does. Missed that one.

OK, heading back home today will check to see if HR23 guide is fully populated. Also, I did leave the BBConverter on... so I should take it off? Only using one (1) sat feed line from the dish upstairs on the HR23.

Thanks for the help... hope this solves the problem. I'll post back later today.

Just wanted to note that removing the BBC and giving the guide a chance to catch up worked. Thanks for the help guys. As long as I have the HR20 (still working like a charm) I can't do that SWM deal... thats where you can split the signal from one wire into like 8 wires? I only have three boxes, don't plan on any more, but it would be nice to have the DVRs all seeing two separate sets of signals LOL.

HR20 works fine in SWM setup. There are plenty of people with SWM setup with HR20s.
Yup. HR20 works fine with SWM. SWM just allows a single coax to be used for dual-tuner receivers (DVRs). You can also use splitters in your setup as long as you use SWM compatible splitters.
