In the past I recall watching some of the films that are in contention for an Oscar, and DIRECTV offered them for free or cheap.

Can't seem to find such now. Still around, and where to look? Or is my memory playing tricks?

I remember that too, and cannot find any deals. I bet the Deathstar killed that too, in order to keep their investors profitable.......

Kind of hard to do this year when titles like Bohemian Rhapsody and A Star is Born are still in that DVD/Bluray window where they can only be offered at full price, Green Book and Vice are still in theaters, for obvious reasons Roma is a Netflix exclusive, while The Favourite isn't coming out on DVD until March 5
