I'm planning on moving one of my HR2x boxes to another room to get it on the other output of my SWM16 to free up enough tuners for my soon-to-arrive HR34.

In this other room I already have an HR22 and a spare run of RG6. I assume reconnecting this line to my 4-way splitter would be preferable than just adding a new 2-way splitter in the room?

Question: Besides the receiver, do I need to unplug my PI of the SWM16 before swapping locations? I see lots of talk of swapping receivers for testing purposes but not a lot about pulling SWM power?

If you have an open port on a splitter that goes to the other port of the SWM16, just use that. Also, you don't need to pull the PI when swapping receivers around.
