Yeah, I know this is a well know issue. I'm not posting to ask what causes it or what can be done about it. From what I understand, fixing this issue requires D* to install new equipment on the ground where the conversion takes place. I also understand that this conversion has already taken place in Chicago and I think New York.

Does anyone (most likely Earl) have any idea of which cities will receive this conversion and when. I'm just curious if there is a timeline so I can see when Philly is going to be converted.

Thanks...

I have not seen any type of rollout schedule or layout of when cities will be rolled out.

Is this "stuttering" you refer to the same as what I described as "jerky" movement? Just want to confirm.... Thanks.

Yes, one in the same. It's really noticable during sporting events.

Here's to hoping they get to Philly soon.

If you're only experiencing it now and are absolutely sure you didn't see it before, it isn't the encoding bugs.

Guess I'll just have to wait for the next update. If the problem persists, then I guess I can attribute it to the bugs.

Here in Detroit, some of the MPEG4 locals have stuttering audio. The video is just fine on all of them, though. It seems to be at it's worst during Sunday Night Football on NBC. I know it's DirecTV's fault because the OTA audio is flawless.
