That's the way it works alright. What I do is record the show after the sporting event as well and that covers it.
MRV Extend Time on Remote Box
When recording sporting events on an HR, automatically, the box pops up asking if you want to extend the recording and giving the option as to how long to extend.
When I tried to record a sporting event from an H2x hooked up via MRV, there was no box that popped up to allow me to extend the recording. I had to record the show, then go to the other room to the HR2X, pull up the recording options and then set the extension.
Am I missing something or is this the currently implementation of setting recordings on H2x boxes?

You'd think that it would have been intuitive to add such a feature, especially given the focus on MRV and remote boxes.
