I received an e-mail from Directv last night saying that, effective May 31st, the Mtn. Network will cease operations. See link below for more detailed information:

The Mtn. had annoucned last month they planned to "close up shop." They sadly lost their "leaders" when BYU, Utah, Boise, TCU all decided to leave the MWC over the last few years. The Mtn hopes to move a fair amount of their games to CBS Sports Net and NBC Sports net, I would imagine most of the football games will be picked up along with men's basketball. The losers here are the Olympic sports that won't have the exposure the Mtn. gave them in the past. It was classifed as an RSN in the markets that had MWC teams and was also included in sports pack as well.

No. It was game only HD.

Hopefully DirecTV picks up the Pac 12 Network in August in time for the first week of games. Otherwise I'll have to go to the sports bar over 50 miles away just to watch the games.

I never watched it so I won't miss it, but I'm sorry for all the trouble the Mountain West Conference is having now. All these teams jumping Conferences is just crazy--I can't even keep up with all the changes
