Flushing your guide data by rebooting the unit twice in 30 minutes (full reboot to live TV) will fix the issue.
The AM21 works great on the HR34 especially since it scans while the HR2x's don't. As far as picture quality that depends. OTA is mpeg2 and via satellite is mpeg4. The OTA looks better but not so much that it makes mpeg4 look bad. Also keep in mind that OTA recordings take up more space on the unit.RockinRay said:Thanks! I will give that a shot...
I see you have the AM21 tied to your HR34. Does that work well? Do you see any difference on the OTA vs the DTV pictures?
I also have an AM21 but have yet to hook it up. I have a TiVo Premier XL ijn the same rack, and it gets the OTA feed for now.
If the picture is better using the AM21 / HR34, then I would set it on up and be done with it.
Any feedback? Also, if it rains hard and we lose the SAT signal, with the AM21, the OTA stuff will still show correct?
Thanks -
Yes, OTA will keep working when HD satellite fades in the rain.RockinRay said:Also, if it rains hard and we lose the SAT signal, with the AM21, the OTA stuff will still show correct?
No need to do it twice with the HR34. It flushes the Guide Data on a simple Menu/Reset.RunnerFL said:Flushing your guide data by rebooting the unit twice in 30 minutes (full reboot to live TV) will fix the issue.

Yes, we are connected...Alebob911 said:Is your HR34 internet connected?
Yes, that's normal.RockinRay said:Just a fast question...
Got it setup and it works quite well. Is it normal for the power light to stay on when the HR34 has been powered off?
Thanks!
