Last night I noticed that one of the tuners on my 721 would not display a picture. I could see the EPG and the info screen at the top of the black screen, but no program.

I did a switch test, and everything appeared to be OK, but there was still no picture on one of the tuners.

This morning there was still no picture on one of the tuners, so I did a front panel reset, and, to my amazement, that solved the problem. Both tuners are now working normally.

Front panel resets often help on many of the Dish PVR's - I do them every so often on my 721 and 508.

any time you have a black screen with only the information at top or menus popping up, on any dish network receiver, a front panel reset will probably work like a charm.
