Last night I had 2 recordings set on HBO-HD. We had thunderstorms hardcore last night, but I give credit to my instal to no serious signal loss (about 30 seconds). Then around 10 our power went out, came back, unit rebooted ok but didn't pick up recording. No biggie, I'll record later. I wake up today & the resolution light is the only light on, screen shows a pixelated frozen pic. It rained steadily all night. Now the fun...Red button reset attempt #1, nada! Ok, unplug unit, it resets & boots up. Went to my VOD, old stuff is there...cool. No overnight recordings, so I go to check for times to rerecord what I missed...unit locks up on "Please Wait" bottom right pop up. Red button reset #2. I think the last freeze was my fault b/c it had just rebooted & maybe was still loading info.

Had 1 good unit about a month now...only had today's resets and 1 other during NFL-ST SF stat loading...not bad at all.

To protect your HR20, I would highly recommend getting a good UPS for it. It is very hard on equipment to have it cycled on and off by intermittant power. You can get a good one at some of the larger consumer stores (like Sams Club). I like the APC 1100 watt model for about 120 bucks. (at Sams).
