It's been fun to test and play with the R15, but with the very little progress there seems to be in debugging the unit I will be deactivating the R15 in my office and replacing it with one of my other HDVR2s.
When we were getting updates with some regularity I enjoyed testing them and putting the new release through it's paces. But I've got a HDVR2 in an empty room used to record our overflow shows and I don't see any need to pay an extra $4.99/mo to keep the R15 running.
For anyone interested, there are two major reasons I'm putting the R15 to sleep at this point.
I guess you could say I've lost interest in playing with the R15 just as DTV has lost interest in fixing it.

- First Run/Repeats: I don't know what happened, but back under 10C0 I had a thread that was showing many FR/Repeat problems were solved. But I don't think that version made it national. 10C8 lost those enhancements that 10C0 had. Even today with 10FA FR/Repeat is ridiculous unless you only watch the major networks.
- Trick Play: It's been said before, but 30 second slip <> 30 second skip. I can skip a 2-6 minute commercial break on my Tivos in 3-7 seconds just using the 30 second skip and skip back buttons. On the R15 it takes anywhere from 6-20 seconds to perform the same function depending on if your unit is responding to remote key presses at that time.
