If this is the wrong place for this thread, my apologies. I had a power outage and when the power came back on, I can no longer get my TV in the bedroom to talk to the main receiver in the Den. My network connection is up and I've power booted both boxes to try and get them to talk to each other. Any thoughts to something I can look at or do? Would like to avoid to pay a man to come out if I don't have to. THANKS

so if it has the 169 IP, then it goes hoesed somehow?
Not necessarily;

It just means that for whatever reason the box is not getting an IP address from your router and has defaulted to an internal one.

What has happened to you, WH connectivity problems after a power outage, is one reason I use static IPs on all my receivers.

"more than likely" the router was slow to come back up, which had one or more receiver switch to internal IP as it booted.

Some go with static IPs, but I haven't needed to and power loss hasn't caused these problems to me, but if I ever have problems like this, checking IPs is one of the first things to do.

Interestingly I saw this problem for the first time with the current NR. Power outages have never been an issue but I have had two since the latest NR and both times I have had issues with MRV

I have a 169 ip address on that one. The living room is connected to the Internet but the bedroom won't

Also, this receiver is coax connected
If you reboot the HR with the 169.xxx IP address it should resolve itself.

If that doesn't work, report back and folks here will walk you through resetting the connection or static IP addresses.
