Three words:

BEST... FIREBALL... EVER!!!

A few more words... Do not ever, ever, ever attempt to light non-dairy creamer on fire.

I don't want to spoil this one too much if you haven't seen it, but I am so pleased that Mythbusters seems to have found voice and relevance again this season. I was beginning to feel that all the myths had been done, and by debunking Youtube videos they found a whole new starting point.

Note: I don't think they said "Youtube" once.

Agreed.. one of the best MythBusters in some time. I wished they did more episodes like this one. Kari almost fell over when the 1st time she set off the creamer.

I'm sorry to say that I did not like the episode.

Fainting goats invisible water, Yawn!!

The cannon segment was kind of fun but my question is how many 911 fire calls were there either immediately following the show or next morning? I can just see some idiot throwing a match in a jar of coffee mate.

Too late. :eek2: Though it's been a while.... but in my younger days, if it was in any way shape or form flamable.... my friends and I probably lit it on fire!

And, yes, that was the best fireball ever!

My dad and I had a few questions during the car segment.... which will probably only be interesting to me, Doug, and perhaps a few other people...

What are the initials on the fire trucks for? The best guess we had is that Livermore and Pleasanton share fire departments?

Second.. does that training station have some sort of water recycling system, cause that was a LOT of water! :eek2:

I have to admit that part of the enjoyment of this show for us is seeing all the local stomping grounds that they visit... Watching them show up somewhere and saying "Hey, I've been there" is kinda fun. Plus they blow stuff up, so that's even better.

The fainting goats..... it was funny for a second or two, that's about it.

The invisible water.... I'm pretty sure we did something like that in high school chemistry.... I knew they'd figure it out, I just didn't know which 'heavier-than-air' gas would end up being the winner. It was 'OK', but to me, pretty much a foregone conclusion that it was legit.

So.... two very cool segments and two so so segments.... all in all, I still really enjoy the show, and this and the NASA episode before it were two of the best that they've had in a LOOOOOOONG time, for sure.

I agree. This was one of the best episodes in a long time.

Did you notice that they hinted they have many more new myths to cover? I hope they are right.
The made a point at the end of saying there were so many more viral videos out there. I think it was Adam at the end that said to Jamie, "Can you say sequel!"

LPFD is Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department .. Some number of years, Livermore ceded control of the area now known as Ruby Hill to Pleasanton under the condition that the Fire Department would become one. Personally, I think it's a good plan and kinda wish the Police Departments would do the same thing .. but I don't see that really ever happening.

Just got around to watching this last night.

Fainting goats, boring.
Fire and explosions, excellent.

Not sure I like them busting "movie myths", of course these have no basis in reality and are all special effects.

There are enough of these viral videos floating around to fill a couple seasons of Mythbusters, stick to those.
