The guide data for NASA TV (283) has nothing on the solar eclipse between 6 and 11 AM. Will this be shown on TV or just online?
Thanks for the heads up...........
According to the info in the link from the OP,it will be streamed live online, via webcast from 6-11 AM EDT on Aug. 1.
No mention of it being shown on the regular NASA TV channel.

If you will click on the Video Link I'm supplying it tells you about the event. It also states on NASA TV and on line. http://www.nasa.gov/topics/solarsystem/features/eclipse/index.html So I think by this statement it will be on NASA TV on any carrier that provides it. Too bad it will only be SD. No it doesn't show it in the schedule but they may update the info during the week.
The guide data for the NASA channel is not very accurate. They never change it for any specific programming beyond what is already seen. Or at least, that's been my experience.
If you guys can wait a few years, one of the longest possible total solar eclipses possible will be viewable over the Midwest! In August 2017 a total solar eclipse will occur over southern Illinois, Missouri, and nearby states.

From people I know, there is nothing in nature that can ever approach the awesome spectacle of witnessing live a total solar eclipse.

And from another Skins fan, both made me laugh loud. Heck, I was even thinking that waiting until 2017 wouldn't work anyway since we live on the east coast.

I have noticed lately that the guide has mis-information listings. FBN for one is consistently giving incorrect times. And what is our local tv guide is right and Directv is wrong. Not surprised that the NASA channel guide listings are incorrect as well.
