I loved last night's Hotpass. We saw so much more of the race and heard commentary that non-Hotpass people missed. I wish every race were on a local affiliate.

I'm just the opposite...i don't like it when ABC is the broadcast partner and MRN/PRN provides the audio. Last night, as much as I hated to skip Juniors channel, I watched the ABC broadcast. To me, it's like watching a football broadcast and having baseball play-by-play for the audio. The audio doesn't sync up with what ABC is showing on it's screen. The few times I switched over to HotPass during the ABC commercials, the PRN sound drowned out the driver/crew-chief sound and at times. Plus, when T J Majors would normally be giving Junior info, it was silent except for the PRN noise. At the beginning, before the start of the race, they had some "cat get it's tail caught under a rocking chair" music instead of the announcers.

If it holds true to last year and it only happens during the ABC portion, it means two more times this year and I guess I'll have to watch the race on ABC. For the life of me, I don't know why DTV can't/won't negotiate with ABC to remedy it. After all, ESPN is owned by ABC and should be able to figure this nonsense out. Does it have anything to do with the commercials and the loss of local ads if they were to use the national ABC feed?

Distracting, frustrating, and unprofessional...to me.

Rain, rain, rain...

I'm glad that ABC is broadcasting the race because I like all the extra Hotpass coverage during local commercials.

Well that Richmond race was certainly intense. As a 24 fan I thought I was going to have a stroke. What a rally by that team.
I read that as "24 hour" fan ... but yes, Gordon in the chase works for me (as does Busch out of the chase). The way that race was going I was not sure they would get it in ... but I am glad they ran every lap.

I feel bad for the thousands of Jr fans that bought tickets, campsites, hotels, etc that won't get to see him race.
I'd feel worse for those fans if Dale got hurt again and it ended his career or his life.

Now is the time for him to heal. Be glad that Jr has the guts to know when his life is more important than racing.

BTW: Congrats to A J on getting a ride.

I agree that it could be worse. Still sucks for his fans.

Another season in the books. Great run by Brad and the 2 team and I enjoyed seeing the 24 end an otherwise miserable season on a high note.

I wasn't rooting for Brad, but seeing Dodge win in their final (for now) season and Penske win after decades of trying was good. Every season has a story ... and this was not a bad one.

It was classy for Jimmie to show up on Speed's Victory Lane (live) to congratulate Brad. And the hat swap between the owners (Hendricks and Penske) showed a friendship that goes beyond the victory or loss.

I just wish Penske was racing a Dodge next year. I'll miss the brand.
