I'm posting this here because I do not want to get lost in the "what's best" battle. I've been experimenting with leaving native on to determine whether I notice a better picture quality or not. This is the first time I've enabled this for any length of time since I've had the unit. My tv is a Sony 1080p lcd and it will show whatever resolution is being fed to it on the screen whether it be 480, 720, or 1080. When switching channels there is the expected delay while the resolutions sync up and the resolution light/indicator on the HR20 will shift. However frequently the light will stay on the incorrect resolution even though the tv shows the correct resolution that it's getting for the channel that it's on. Most frequently the light will stick on the 1080 spot when the broadcast is 720 and that's what the tv shows.

So the box is passing through the correct resolution, it's just not always switching the indicator properly. This really isn't a big deal, it's just that I notice it.Has anyone else noticed this? I may not even leave it this way and may go back to just leaving it on 1080 - I haven't noticed much difference yet.

Do you have all four resolutions checked in the Native section?

My HR-20 has always changed lights when there was a resolution change.
All resolutions are checked and the light changes most of the time but not always to the actual resolution.

My receiver does this as well. The tv says the correct resolution is coming but the light on the box shows 720 when the station is 1080 for example. Pressing the format button on the remote also cycles through the incorrect settings. I haven't been concerned about this bug however, since it doesn't effect the unit that I can notice and I have enough problems with it working as it is.

I've noticed this issue as well in the past when using Native. I just downloaded 0x115 last night - I'll have to observe it for awhile to see if this behavior is still present.

Still there will 0x115. It is only with MPEG-4 channels though [for me].
