nothing special every major cable/sat provider that caries NBA LEAGUE PASS has the free preview week. they do it every year the first week is free and the week before or after all-star week is free.
dont know how it is on E* but one reason that might be causing that is the fact that there are no game on today besides the one's on TNT. you should be able to see the NBA stat's channel tho.
