Huh? The NBA season doesn't even start until 10/29. I guess that's a lot of free preseason games :lol:

This would make a lot more sense if it was free NHL Center Ice since the regular season starts Thursday.

I dont have the sports package so i only get NBAtv with league pass. As of last night NBATV was not activated eventhough games were being shown on the LG Pass channel. Anyone else not getting NBATV yet....i wanted to watch LA and Utah but couldnt. Any idea when this will be activated?

What a way to ruin a sale, put the League Pass preveiw on during the pre-season when most games are likely to be in SD, I don't get this idea at all

Only a slight veering off topic, but does anyone know if HD package folks will be getting NBATV-HD like last year during the season? I know that Directv discontinued it when the season was over, but will we be getting it back this year?

I wonder this as well, I have paid my first payment to DTV for NBA LP and NBA-TV is not activated yet. They probably wait till the season actually starts to do this, but this is wrong. I have paid for League Pass; I want the channel turned on.

well i remember last season it was turned on for the preseason bc i was able to view the NBA Europe games as well as the season previews that NBATV does....so i think it just someone at Directv needs to flip that switch

I guess we'll find out tonight at 7, eh? I usually order the sports package for October just so I can watch the Celts preseason action since they don't usually carry ALL of the preseason games....

Well I'm a league pass subscriber, it's 6:30, and NBA TV still doesn't appear in my list of authorized channels. Time to call DTV...

Well i called D* and they told me NO NBA TV HD during the free preview!!! damm it i wanted to watchthe celtics 76ers game in HD. It just doesnt make any sense they promote all this HD and then refuse to give us the nba hd channel for the free preview! nice way to get more customers D* by NOT giving1 HD channel during this preview even though i pay $9.99 for HD ACCESS. For the first time in 15 years i'm seriously considering canceling nba league pass! oh well i better cool down not worth the stress.:mad:

So add the sports pack in for the free preview period and get the NBA Channel in HD. Yeah I know you have to pay more but if you want it that bad then its not that big a deal. I am watching NBA HD right now.

Believe it or not i tried to add the sports pack and the csr gave up after trying for half an hour!,she then passed me to another csr who supposidly knew more about adding sports packages and she told me that even if i got the sports package i wouldnt be able to get the game today in HD and that the sports pack was pretty much just college sports and no pro sports except for your local pro sports teams,I told her i know that ,but NBA TV HD is a national sports channel like TNT except directv has it in the sports pack. I dont know whats going on at directv,How could a csr not know how to add the sports pack ? I even tried to activate my HD-tivo 10-250 yesterday and that csr gave up trying after 40 minutes .,Instead she tried to give me another directv dvr but i didn't want another 2 year contract,so i said no thanks,the reason i was trying to hook up my HD_tivo was because i needed a reliable dvr that doesnt give blank recordings or searching for satellite signal evey other week. I'm so close to taking verizons $69.00 a month bundle for phone ,internet,and fios tv then $104.99 after the first 3 months plus free HBO and cinemax for 1 month.

One other thing why should i pay another $12.00 a month to watch the NBA HD channel when i'm suppose to get it with NBA LEAGUE PASS?

Well i dont know why i dont get NBATV when i am already setup for league pass....for me its not a free preview bc i am already a subsciber and paying for the package

I think you get NBA TV in SD with the league pass , you either need the the premiere package or the sports pack to get it in HD
