just need to turn in some info when getting dish installed in my condo.....dimensions, materials, color, contractor .... thanks
I'd suggest you ask the Dish Customer Service Rep you speak to for this. They should be able to fax it to you or to your HOA.

Another option, you may want to go through a local retailer that sells Dish, so you can ask them directly about the things your HOA is requesting.

As long as the dish is less than 1 meter in diameter, no HOA can put any restrictions on dish size. Nor can they impose any restrictions that unreasonably delay the installation, nor cause an increase in installation, or maintenance costs. Dish may be installed in your exclusive area without regard to HOA silliness.

Doesn't matter if they approve. All Dish Network dishes are 1 meter or less.

You don't need their approval, and if someone complains, tell 'em to go pound sand and take it up with the FCC.

Again as noted above, the dish you get depends on where you are exactly and that may require 2 dishes.

Just tell them you are getting a "standard" DBS dish, that it is within the legal 1 meter diameter limit, and that you are having it installed in the "most inconspicuous place" that will allow for a proper signal to be available 24/7 (i.e.:, it has line of sight to all the satellites, is safely installed, and will be accesible for servicing, like snow removal).

Uh, let's just assume for a moment that the OP lives here in the DC market. He'll need two dishes to get his programming.

You need to be more forthcoming than "usa" about your address. What you need for Bronze may be two dishes (two Dish500s or a Dish500 and a 24" dish), a larger dish (Dish1000) or the much larger Dish1000+.

You could also approach any fellow residents that have Dish Network setups and see what they did.

can you clarify "exclusive area"?
An area, such as a patio, balcony or porch that is under your exclusive use and control.

You should read up on the provisions of SHVERA and OTARD at www.fcc.gov
