I'm being transferred to the San Joaquin Valley (Fresno / Clovis area), but want to keep local channels. That area currently does NOT have local channels for Directv.
Does anyone live in Fresno that can tell me if the spotbeams are strong enough to get either San Francisco local channels or Los Angeles? I know many L.A. channels are on the national beam, but some of the more obscure ones aren't so I'm really looking to see if the spotbeams are coming in strong enough in that area to pick them up with a 18" round dish.
Any help would be appreciated. I believe the transponders are 20 and 12 for those areas.
