New installation in progress and the tech can't figure out the problem. Tuner 2 is significantly weaker, up to half as strong as Tuner 1. For example:
Sat 110 Trans 17 Tuner1=78 Tuner2=58
This is true on a number of sat/transponder combinations, or even worse. Here's what he's tried: replaced receiver ViP622, swapped both splitters, flipped inputs (and still the prob stays on tuner 2).
He suspects it might be because of a long wire run from the dish to the house. Does that make sense? If so he can move the dishes to a closer spot but they'll be a real eyesore.
Thoughts? Other ideas for him to try real quick? Need your response fast! Thanks!!! Location is outside Seattle.
