Ok I was pretty much happy with Directv till Saturday I looked on my account and saw I was charged a $125 NRF, ok I do have the receiber that I did deactivate however Directv never sent a return kit, so I called Directv and told them I never got a return kit, well the first CSR told me someone might have stole it so there is nothing she could do, so I called back and this CSR said they sent it and most likely forgot to send it back, so I asked for a manger and he said the same thing.

I am tired of calling and getting a canned response, so is there anything I can do, I have the receiver on the shelf here in the living room but i never got a reurn kit.

I would call the credit card company and contest the charge, then call DirecTv and tell them to send you a return kit, and when you get it, ignore the USPS label, and send it with receipt requested so you get back a signature proving it was returned.

If the return kit was stolen en route to your house, that is not your responsibility (although if they said they were sending one, I would have called when it didnt arrive).

Just ask for a reshipment of the recovery kit...dtv will have tracking for the first one. I'm sure it shows delivered from FedEx. Dtv did as they were supposed to not sure why you didn't get it though.

I'm not so sure. I still have a SD DVR in my garage that I was supposed to return back in 2003/4. Never got a box even after several calls. But I also never got charged for not returning it. When I called six months after it was supposed to be sent back to see about the box, they said I had already returned the DVR. Yet it is still sitting on a shelf in my garage.

Then last summer, I upgraded an R16 for a HD DVR. They said they were sending a box. Nothing arrived. I called back. Was told that I didn't have to return it. It took 3-4 additional calls before I got my recovery kit.

So from personal experience (and what others have posted here), I don't have too much faith in their 'recovery' department.

I would call back and if you get the same runaround I would then tell the CSR that is he/she couldn't send me a Return Kit I would contact Ellen Filipiak's Office of Customer Service (she Reports to the Directv President/CEO) [email protected] and have them send me a Return Kit and I would Note with the CSR that I would include the CSR's Name who would not send me a Return Kit.
