I received my new HD receiver from DirecTV about 2 months ago. The first receiver died after like a week. So they sent a replacment. After a few days my channels would lock up so I called DirecTV. They had me un-plug the receiver and disconnect the incoming satellite cord. Then I had to wait a minute and plug the receiver back in. After a min it would tell me that there is no satellite connection, so then they told me to connect the satellite again. Then it would tell me it was downloading info from the satellite. After this was done, things worked fine. Now the problem I'm having is that I have to do this every day. And some channels, especially the channels that broadcast the NFL ticket, aren't fixed by doing this. The screen will freeze and lock up for anywhere from a few seconds to like 15-20 seconds. Is anyone else having this issue?? Thought I would try here before getting the run around at DirecTV. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the signal readings on the various satellites & transponders and post back your results. This could be a satellite reception issue.

Also, what type of satellite dish do you have? Do you have other DirecTV receivers? Do they also have problems?

I will check and report back with that info, I'm at work now. We have 1 dish for the HD, and another for non HD. The non-HD is fine, never had a problem with it. But ever since they gave us the new dish and receiver it's been nothing but problems. I think we have the HR20 receiver.
I'm guessing that DirecTV has seen this problem, because they knew what to do as soon as I told them what was happening. The NFL ticket channels are the worst. I can do the fix that they gave me, and I continue having the same problem on those channels. Frustrating trying to watch a game and having the TV freeze up every couple of minutes.
