Can anyone tell my why my hr20-770 didn't record Survivor, Las Vegas, and Criminal Minds? Lately it's been a crap shot or what's recorded and what's not. Is it possible my receiver went bad?

It shows that the shows recorded, but when you hit play, nothing but a black screen. The weird thing is, you can fast forward and you can see the blue light going in a circle, but still a black screen.

What does the time bar show?

Is it 0 or a negative number?

If you press the 30 sec slip button a few times does it just count them up on the right had side of the bar?

Does it look something like this

It it is this bug, they may have fixed this issue in 0xEB, I have not seen it in this version (yet).

I get (more often too now) the black screen when trying to play somethings.. I always get it to play. Here's what you do.

When it's black.. just hit previous channel.... let it swtich back... give it 5 seconds.. then hit previous channel again.. it does go black for 2-4 seconds again but DOES then start!

I can't check it anymore, my wife got pissed and delelted all three. I did notice that it was negative though.

If it was negative then it was likely the unwatchable bug, the good news is it has not happened to me (yet) on 0xeb. I am hopeful that they fixed this one.

Thanks for all your help. I've been doing various recordings and it hasn't happened again. Keeping my fingers crosssed.
