ok, so I just dropped $200 on Netgear HDX101 powerline HD Ethernet adapters which work great, but ... after networking the HR20, my Viiv Media Center "sees" it (although not as the HR20 but as something else), and the HR20 says it is connected to my network and the internet, but I don't have any of the new options in my HR20 menu. I've rebooted the HR20 several times, no luck.

Only issue I had during set up was the Viiv setup wizard telling me my wireless router, which is a WGT624 v2 (2-3 yrs old), is not a "Viiv-compatible" router. Is this why my PC sees another device out there but doesn't seem to know it's the HR20? Is this why the networking functionality isn't working for me? Do I have to go buy a new router to make this work?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts/advice. I want my new gadgets to work!!

I am not aware of viiv-compatible routers, but I don't know a lot about viiv.

I have a bridge device and a router in my setup without any hitch. Mine is all linksys with the latest firmware. Perhaps that is why it works, new firmware.

Check to see if there is a firmware update for yours.
