What channels? Only price changes.

I can't believe people don't realize that they are not getting any more(NEW) channels when the Price Increase goes in effect ?
i thought they would be nice enough to atleast bump some of the top 180 channels down as they have done in the past.
New channels and price increases are not necessarily related.

However, new channels may trigger a price increase, price increase may not trigger new channels. Perhaps the former is what we are experiencing now.
Would be nice to see National Geograpic in the 120 pack with the price increases. Also can't figure out why ESPN-U is not in at least the Sports Pack like Direct TV. After all it is a sports channel.
Because it’s not. Dish Network and DirecTV have two different philosophies when it comes to the Sports Pak. Dish Network's is for out of market regional sports channels only (plus NBA TV for some reason), DirecTV's is for out of market RSNs and specialty sports networks. Thus why DirecTV changes double of what Dish changes.

The only known change is that the 32 DishCD channels will now be available to AT60 (renamed AT100) subscribers. A new chart should be available before February reflecting the new names and that change.
Why doesn't E* take this opportunity to consolidate AT60(100) channels on 119? Up here in AK we have only the one LNB/4ft dish (119), and its frustrating that we can't get the extra regional sports channels on 110 when we're paying for them. That slight selfishness aside, I haven't seen this mentioned here previously, but why on earth are the Fairbanks locals on 110? Its an absolute mess up here right now sans DNS (legacy for many of us, before fai locals became available). With only 2 retailers in town to do installs, tons of folks (like us with 119 only) are left waiting something on the order of months to get a small dish installed to pick up the 110 spot with our locals....it really makes no sense, especially considering the foresight to stick Anchorage locals on 119...:(

There is no room at the inn at 119º. Nothing short of a new spot beam satellite at 119º would fix that issue. It's just that simple. The choices are put Fairbanks & Juneau up at 110º or don't put them up at all.

See ya
