For a completely new install, how do I get 4 single tuner receivers connected to a dish 1000?

This is my preferred setup.
Dish 1000
1 - vip211 HD receiver
3 - dish 311 receivers

(Although I cannot seem to get this configuration from the dish website, they force you to select a dual tuner 322 for 2 of the 4 receivers.)

Run 3 cables from the dish to a DP 44 switch and then a cable from each switch output to each receiver.
OR
Run 2 cables from the dish to 2 separators and then a cable from each separator output to each receiver.

Which is better DP44 switch or separators?

I don't believe seperators will not work with any of your receivers, they are for dual tuner receivers.

My opinion, limited though it may be, is you need a DPP44 and one cable to each receiver.
