Hello,

We just got a DirecTV 5 LNB Slimline dish, that does not receive local channels in our area, so we also have to have an 18" round dish, pointing to the 72.5 degree satellite to get them... right?

We have an 18" round dish already (we replaced it for the 5 LNB), but we don't know what model it is.. or if it can read the 72.5 satellite.. we just know that it is pretty old.

Can any 18" round dish read the 72.5 degree satellite, or no?

Thanks for any help.

Yes. So if this was an upgrade you should have had two 18" dishes [ one for 101 and one for 72.5 ] with a 4by4 switch.

During the upgrade the tech wiuld have had to run 4 lines from the ka/ku and 1 line from the 72.5 to a WB68 switch. The line from the 72.5 has to go to flexport 1.

Check all of that. Also is the IRD set up for 72.5?
