Setting up a brand new H21 I get a signal failure message on the 103(a) only. Signal is fine on the 103(b), averaging 94. Also receiving good signal on 101, 99, 110, and 119. I have another active H21 which I tried on the same line with same BBC and it pulls in the 103(a) just fine.

I have not called DTV yet to activate it. The unit did update itself with the latest software. Anyone have any ideas before I submit myself to a clueless CSR. Is this a bad box? :nono2:

You might not use the 103a there so i'd just activate.

They all fail 103a for some reason, just choose skip and fix later and it works fine after activation.

On H-21s and H-23s, 103a is the spot beam satellite, thats why it usually fails. 103c is the one you want to worry about. If you're not getting signal on 103c, check your b-band convertors, then LNB/multiswitch.

The new pain-in-the-ass verification software always fails 103 even transponders for some odd reason.
